We’re delighted to have been invited, for the second consecutive year, to take part in a symposium organised by Lubrizol’s European research and development centre at Hazelwood in Derby.

The symposium will take place on 25thJune at Pride Park, home of Derby County FC. This year’s theme is ‘Sustainability’ and we are planning to showcase Diamond’s capabilities in relation to ‘just-in-time’ printing and how we can help to facilitate local production of a wide variety of garments.

Our scientists, Vicky Verona and Naomi Barton, will be flying the flag for Diamond on the day and are already busy planning their stand at the symposium. It’s safe to say they have lots of creative ideas about how to inform and educate delegates all about what we do and how we might be able to help them in their business.

Explains senior scientist, Vicky Verona: “This is a great opportunity to meet with our industry peers and show them exactly what Diamond can do and how far we’ve come with our own research and development over the last few years. Our stand promises to be one of the symposium’s highlights and we’ll make sure that everyone who comes to chat with us doesn’t go home empty handed – find out more on 25thJune!”

Adds Andrew Grantham, marketing manager: “Lubrizol has a huge group of scientists working for the company covering many different business areas. The symposium is designed to ensure that we are exploiting this talent pool and making sure the scientific community within Lubrizol is aware of some of the technical challenges that each of the businesses face. This enables common issues to be identified and worked on collaboratively across the businesses.”
